*WordPress as Transition CMS

Hello friends. I know that you’re wondering what’s happening to me, and so here’s an update.

Well, the truth is, I’ve been resting — losing myself again in the world of fiction — and trying to bring myself into the right mental and emotional states. Because honestly, I’ve been deeply disappointed that my work of moving my blogging to a self-hosted CMS has been delayed. And though I’ve tried, I just couldn’t let it go, and simply go back to my writing and studies. (You see, blogging is all I have right now; I have no other present hopes but to see this ministry succeed.)

And so I’ve waited until both the Lord’s guidance and my direction are clear.

Here it is: The fact remains that, even though Tiki Wiki is my best choice for a CMS, I still can’t use it, because learning Tiki requires an intensive study, and I neither have the time nor the resources to do that right now. But the fact also remains that my heart is all set for moving, and it won’t settle down until the move is at least already in progress. Therefore, I’m compromising: I will move to a self-hosted CMS as soon as possible, but for now I will be using WordPress instead of Tiki. This will set me up relatively quickly, and I will have the opportunity to study Tiki in my leisure, before I make the final move to it.

The overall plan hasn’t changed: I’ll be combining content-wise my two blogs here in WordPress.com, and I will give it the name Swordsman Beginnings.

And so now there’s a lot of work to do. I know that I can’t finish everything before I need to be writing again, but I do need some time to get the ball rolling.

See you all in the first week of August :)
